Screening Profile

As we are all aware, prevention is better than cure, when it comes to missing activity through injury.

At Jon Cooke Physiotherapy we now offer a comprehensive orthopaedic/musculoskeletal profile. This is aimed at highlighting any areas that may be of concern.

Are you ready for embarking on that training for the marathon? Am I ready to begin making use of that gym membership? These are the types of questions that can be answered by conducting a screening profile.

In addition to its use in the adult population, the process of screening has been used to greatly benefit many children as they progress through adolescents. By identifying the numerous stresses that are put through their bodies at this important stage in their lives, we are able to give a thorough report with guidelines to assist with their development, so as to prevent any potential injury from occurring,

The screening consists of numerous tests, including:

  • Joint assessment
  • Muscle strength testing
  • Functional testing – specific to the individuals sport/activity
  • Gait assessment
  • Flexibility testing

If you are interested in having a screening conducted, please contact us for more information.
